Background
Guazi Direct Sales Network is currently the largest direct sales platform for used vehicles in China. Maodou Network is a one-stop new retail service platform for new vehicles that is driven by online data, technology and in-depth services of brick-and-mortar stores. And they are two independent brands of Chehaoduo Group. In order to optimize management and improve working efficiency, these two platforms decided to configure Chainway C72 handheld RFID Reader for intelligent management of garage’s vehicles.
Challenges
1. Manual registration and verification of vehicle information from input of the warehouse to output of the warehouse, takes a long time, and will be prone to errors.
2. Due to the large number of vehicles in the garage, it is extremely inconvenient when searching for vehicles.
3. The vehicle data of each branch garage cannot be updated to the database in real time, thus, the manager cannot know inventory status of each branch, which has negative impact on adjustment of management strategy according to the actual situation in time.
Solution
By installing an unique RFID tag on the windshield of each vehicle, each vehicle is given a unique identification ID, and the relevant information such as the name, model, and in-store time of each vehicle is bound to the corresponding ID No. that also is stored to database. Worker can scan the RFID tags within a certain range with C72 UHF handheld terminal to enter, query, and verify vehicle information for intelligent management. Meanwhile, the information can be uploaded to the background database.
Effects
1. Workers only need to scan the electronic tag with C72 UHF handheld terminal during the input and output of the warehouse, and enter the relevant information of the vehicle to complete the corresponding operation, which is more efficient.
2. When the vehicle stock-taking is performed, the inventory personnel take the C72 RFID reader for patrol in the garage. The inventory efficiency is significantly improved.
3. All the inventory information of each branch is updated to the back-end system in real time through the wireless network. The manager can check the inventory information of each branch, so as to adjust the strategy in time according to the market conditions.
