In China，With the rapid growth in the number of motor vehicles, the workload of annual vehicle inspection has increased significantly. Previously a large number of officers are dispatched to conduct vehicles inspection on-site, which can no longer meet the needs of today's efficient work. And it is in urgent need of new information technology to establish a more efficient annual inspection mechanism for motor vehicles.
Challenges
1. The increasing number of motor vehicles every year brings more difficulty in vehicle inspection and verification. The manual on-site inspection method can not meet the needs of today's work.
2. It is impossible to check any data for verification and comparison if any problem and confirm whether the vehicle is stolen or illegally modified.
3. The vehicle audit is mainly completed by manual on-site verification, which is prone to favoritism and fraud.
4. The on-site vehicle verification information cannot be transmitted to the supervisory center in real-time, and needs to be entered manually into the database system. The process is cumbersome.
5. The verification personnel often need to go back and forth many times in the supervision center, when it comes to vehicles that do not conform to regulations, which takes a long time.
Solution
A remote monitoring solution for vehicle inspection based on the application of Chainway C71 intelligent handheld terminal has been established. The site inspectors are equipped with C71 handheld computers that are seamlessly connected to the system of the supervisory center for real-time linkage management. Site staff can scan the relevant barcodes with C71 to obtain basic vehicle information, collect data of key parts of the vehicle via camera and video. After the initial review is completed, the data is uploaded to the supervision center. The staff in the supervision center can obtain real-time through the remote supervision system and make comprehensive judgments on vehicle information, photos and videos, which greatly improves the efficiency of vehicle inspection.
