RFID technology was an obvious choice for MSC cruise in order to improve operational efficiency. Thus, the company implemented an RFID base mobile computer for the ticket inspection process. For an instant, the company deployed Chainway’s C71 mobile computers with internal UHF reader which could be used by a ticket checker to scan tickets and boarding passes at the time passengers entered the cruise. The data captured with these mobile computers shared with the main database in real-time via a wireless network. It ensured the administration that data was continuously updating and available for use at all the time.
