RFID Solution for Logistics support

Background 
"Anji" which is the largest logistics company located in China provides end to end transportation and logistics support to many automobile companies across the country. Company has a large customer base including market-leading companies in the automobile industry such as SAIC Volkswagen, SAIC - GM and BYD.
 
Challenges
1. Anji has a widespread network which includes various modes of transportation such as road, rail, and waterways, and managing these channels requires an effective logistics management.
2. With a high level of competition, a demand for FAST, Accurate and Safe Delivery of Goods The IS expected by Customer. THUS, IS A Meet All THESE Demands for Challenging Task of Anji.


Solution
Anji identifies and implemented an RFID base solution to meet these challenges. The RFID solution involved a UHF RFID tag which is pasted on the windshield of a vehicle. All the vital information about the vehicle like identification ID, Model number, Manufacturing date, etc are stored in these tags and in the host server database of Anji. Anji chooses Chainway’s C4050 mobile computer to integrate into this application which can be used for vehicle identification and to add a piece of new information in vehicles’ RFID tags.
 
 
Application

Before Shipping
After the manufacturing process is completed and the vehicle is ready to ship for distribution, an RFID tag is pasted inside the windshield of the vehicle. Operator adds a description to the tags via mobile phone which is preinstalled with the logistic application. ID, Product detail, MRP, delivery detail, and timing, etc.
 
Inventory Management
With the pre-installed app and connectivity through 4G or Wi-Fi network, mobile computers are connected with the company's server. Thus, for inventory tracking, workers Do not need to perform physical inventory counting, instead, they just need to wave the C4050 mobile computer for stock tacking .
 
Real-time Data Update
Every step-in manufacturing and distribution require an update in vehicle information. With the help of a mobile computer, an update can be shared in real-time.
