Cash Box Management Solution for Russian Bank

Background
Banks need to exchange cash from the bank to AIMs on a daily basis. A Russian state-owned bank does the same process as well on a big scale. This bank has a large reserve of cash and in order to provide full proof security of cash being transfer to different points, it has implemented a barcode base scanning solution. Bank choose Chainway’s mobile computer as it provides the latest barcode scanning technology with ideal data storage capability. Bank has optimized the cash box management and improve the employee’s efficiency with high security. With the mobile computer, bank management can track the location of the cash box and the person responsible for the cash delivery.

Challenges
1 Cash delivery process has a common issue with improper handover guideline for cash transfer which creates lots of confusion among security convoy.
2. Because of the manual process and a large number of cash boxes, there are more chances of human errors.
3. In case of missing of any cash box, management finds difficulty in investigation and records of cash boxes.
4. Employee’s incentive based on performance and cash management. But in the manual process, no operational data for evaluation.
5. Communication between different departments is weak in the manual process because data cannot be shared in real-time. 

Solution
A cash box order is received through a handheld terminal. An operator equipped with mobile computer scan the required cashbox and record its information in the device. Same time, data is updated in the bank database which confirms the pickup of cash boxes to the various departments. This is how real-time information is flow to every concerned department.
