Background The
Jiajiayue group is marked in the list of leading retailers in the world. The core responsibility of Jiajiayue is to operate supermarkets with the integration of local logistics companies. With the whole-supply chain and multi-format, the company provide all sort of Food at retail stores such as agriculture products, food processing, and fresh products. More than 670 stores in Shandong province of china is directly operated by Jiajiayue group which cover 40 cities and include supermarkets, department stores, boutique supermarket, shopping malls, rural stores , Zhongshan stores, and multistore markets, etc. Recently in 2016, Jiajiayue Group Co. Ltd. was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

Challenges
1. Manually process of warehouse management is not effective because there is a different kind of products in large quantity. It takes much time in monitoring, sorting and dispatching the products.
2. Real-time status of inventory is not available because all the entries are recorded manually and take much time in finding specific information.
3. There are more chances of confusion and manipulation because the operator cannot track the delivery from receiving to final delivery at the customer end.


Solution
After analyzing the barcode technology for warehouse management, Jiajiayue group selected Chainway’s C3000 mobile computer based on window CE operating system to realized stock tracking. The devices were integrated with warehouse management software which ensures flawless function at all the levels. The operator at warehouses capture the barcoded data with the help of mobile computers and share the same in real-time with a backend database of the company.

Effects
1. The new system makes the warehouse process fast as an operator just need to scan the product barcode to get the related information and data is automatically uploaded in the company database via a wireless network. It has saved lots of time and efforts of operators and enhanced the working efficiencies of workers.
2. The inventory status can be updated in real-time which provide valuable data for administration to take a decision on order processing.
3. The new system has optimized the operation of the supermarket, improve the utilization of resources and provide a great return On investment.
