Better Inventory Management with RFID Solution

Background
As we know garment manufacturing companies produce a variety of apparels to cater to the need of different segments like men, women and children. Ningbo Youngor Clothing Co. is one of the leading manufacturers of Shirt, suits, T-shirts and other apparels in China. However, the company manages 772 stores and thousands of commercial outlets in china. But It was difficult to manage the inventory and distribution channel with a manual process. With the cooperation with Chainway, Ningo implemented C72 UHF reader for inventory management and it played an essential role in simplifying and speedup the stocktaking and order fulfilment process.

Challenges
1. The operator in a store usually search an inventory on a computer which takes a long time to locate an inventory.
2. Management encounters a drop-in employee’s efficiency. They have to spend more time in inventory management and manual process make the stock-taking process error-prone.
3. The company offer a wide range of apparel with different shape and sizes which make the working more cumbersome at the counter.
4. In the absence of real-time data, the company’s management could not take the timely decision about product stocks at the store level.

Solution 
Ningo selected and deployed Chainway’s C72 UHF mobile computer in warehouses, store and distribution channel to smoothen the overall process. With RFID solution, company abled to perform a variety of function in bulk such as stock-in, stocktaking and order fulfilment. Besides this, data captured via a mobile computer could be shared and stored in real-time. Management and stores had access to the update data which helped to locate the items in inventory, distribution hub and stores.
