Retail Store Management with RFID Solution

Background
Peace Bird Apparel is China's leading apparel brand which mainly engaged in designing, manufacturing, and sales of cloths. The company offer a wide range of clothing for man, women, and kids. Main brands include PEACE BIRD, PEACE BIRD, LED'IN , MATERIAL GIRL, AMAZING PEACE, Mini Peace, etc. Peace Bird distributes its products in the domestic and overseas markets. Statistics show that company currently operates 4251 stores in China. However, managing inventory and distribution channels was always be a big challenge for the Peace bird which is why the company approached Chainway for cooperation in implementing RFID devices for inventor management.

Challenges
1. The manual process of inventory management was time-consuming and error-prone because Peace Bird’s stores contain a large number of items that change frequently.
2. Each item contains a variety of sizes and colors which make the manual process impossible to identify a specific product. Thus, the customer has to wait for long.
3. The real-time data update is not possible due to the manual process. Management hardly got to know about product dispatch and delivery information timely thus, advance inventory planning could not be frame by top-level management.
4. The flow of data is not smooth among different channels. Warehouse management is not aware of the inventory situation at stores and the sales department could not be updated with the sales data of all the stores.

Solution
Chainway deployed its C76 UHF device at Peace Bird operational and store level. The device is integrated with warehouse management and RFID tags. These unique tags are linked with the inventory items which help the operator to capture the items data at stores and warehouses. Wireless features in the device make the data available for all concern departments in real-time.

Effect
1. RFID mobile computer is quickly able to search a specific product in inventory which significantly reduces the waiting time of customers and also enhances customer satisfaction.
2. The latest process has not only reduced the time consumption but also improve the efficiency and accuracy of data collection. The stocktaking process can be completed within a few minutes.
On an overall distribution channel is improved by the intelligent sorting process. The RFID device is efficient to sort the inventory quickly before dispatching to different stores. On the other side, a customer at the store delighted with the availability of all types of product variety .
