Explosion Proof Mobile computer for Gas Station

Background
Stabilized in 1988, China Petrochemical Corporation (Sinopec Group) is the largest oil and gas enterprise in Beijing. The core area of ​​operation includes exploration, production, pipeline transportation and sale of petroleum and natural gas. Thus, the company manages a large number of gas stations in the country. The nature of operation forces the Sinopec group to deploy mobile computers at a gas station for better management and enhance better customer experience.

Challenges
1. Drivers were manually registered and pay at certain places which were time-consuming and inconvenient.
2. Employee assessment at work station was not possible because no technical solution as available to evaluate the employee performance in real-time.
3. It was highly difficult to track the data of the store at the gas station. Management could not track the real-time data of stock and sales which make it difficult to replenishment timely.

Solution
The primary concern for Sinopec was to deploy an explosion-proof mobile computer at a gas station. That is why, company implemented an explosion-proof version of C6000 mobile computer at all the gas stations. The device was deployed to perform daily work management which include issuing membership cards, refueling, reward point update, card recharge, product purchase from gas station’s store, etc. The device captured and updated all the data in real-time with central database.

1. The operation of the gas station now becomes smoother and faster. These devices ensure high efficiency and accuracy at each gas station.
2. The solution also saved the customer time. He need not move out of his vehicle for making payment. The card can be recharge by staff with a mobile computer on the spot which boosts the customer satisfaction.
3. The devices ensure the safety of user and the customer because devices are explosion-proof and fulfil the certification requirement.
4. The device also helps in inventory management and improving employee's performance as data is available in real-time.
