Background
This case study is about one of the leading cruise company in the Mediterranean, South Africa & Brazil that implemented data capturing technology for ticket and boarding pass process. Challenges
  1. The traditional method of ticket inspection was time-consuming and inefficient to maintain a proper record.
  2. There were more chances of missing or forget the traditional tickets that could create check-in issues for travelers.

Solution
For achieving operational efficiency, cruise management started using C71 mobile computers purchase from Chainway for ticket inspection. The operators used to scan all the passengers’ boarding pass that had barcodes with the help of the C71 Mobile Computer, so that process could be completed quickly. Apart from this, all the data collected with the help of a wireless network was stored in real-time basics to the central server, which made it easy for management to make decisions related to passenger services.
