Ticket Verification for a Company in Italy

Background
This case is about a famous Italian ticket distribution company which sell thousands of different categories of ticket online every year. As a leading company in the ticketing industry, it offers a range of event tickets, exhibition tickets, theatres, cultural events, and sports events, etc. With the increase in competition and to provide a better experience to its customers, the company decided to transform the traditional ticketing process into an intelligent ticket inspection solution. Therefore, the company chooses the Chainway C70 barcode-based mobile computer to fulfill its objective.
 
Challenges
1. It was easy to counterfeit the traditional ticket, due to which many genuine spectators suffered and could not go inside the event. 
2. The traditional ticket inspection process was old, time-consuming, and could not manage the increasing number of spectators.
3. For better management and services, proper data analysis was required. However, it was not possible in the manual ticket inspection process.
 
Solution
To resolve all the issues of the client, Chainway deployed its C70 mobile computer for the ticket inspection process. The barcode scanner based C70 mobile computer integrated with customized software and wireless network. Traditional tickets replaced with a 2D barcode that had stored all the information related to ticket owner, date of event and ticket category, etc. Operators equipped with C70 mobile computer were just needed to scan the ticket to allocate the reserved seat. That is how the company abled to improve efficiency and prevented fake ticket circulation in the ticketing inspection process.
 
Effects
1. The intelligent solution significantly cut short the ticket inspection process and reduced the queue size.
2. With pre-stored ticket owner’s information, management can effectively detect the fake tickets that further improves the company’s financials.
3. The solution provides real-time data related to tickets & visitors attending an event and also about the collection that helps the management to analyses the marketing and financial situation more accurately.
