Gas Station Management for an Oil and Gas Enterprise

Background
This case is about an oil and gas company which has a wide network of gas stations in the country including highways, rural and urban area. Intending to increase operational efficiency and manage all business levels at gas stations, the company decided to deploy Chainway’s C6000 mobile computers with barcode reading capability.
 
Challenges
1. Traditional process of data sharing was not efficient as most of the Gas stations were located in remote areas.
2. Registration with the manual process was time-consuming, for which the driver has to visit specific places for fee payment.
3. Work assessment mechanism was not capable to effectively collect and analyze the working data of gas station employees. 
4. Top management could not track the real-time data of daily sales at gas stations. Which is why management was incapable to ensure the replenishment in time.
 
Solution
To manage routine work at gas stations, the company deployed Chainway’s C6000 mobile computers with an explosion-proof version. The daily work includes membership card issuance, Membership points, refueling, card recharge, point redemption, etc. The operator could easily and accurately perform these tasks by using a C6000 mobile computer. The data captured with the devices were stored and shared in real-time with a central database management system.
