Boost Traceability for Skustack with UHF

Background
Seller cloud is a solution provider for warehousing and manufacturing companies. Sometime ago seller cloud provided a fully integrated warehouse management system developed by Skustack. Compare with traditional WMS where a solution designed to fulfill general warehousing tasks, Skustack’s WMS was much advance. Skustack solution was based on Chainway’s C72 UHF mobile computer that uses RFID technology to manage inventory. This device quickly took the inventory and easily identify the specific item in a warehouse.
 
Solution
The warehouse solution was integrated with RFID technology and each item tagged with a unique RFID tag. This RFID tag stores complete details of the inventory item. Warehouse operators need to use the C72 device to capture the tag information. The integrated software store the captured data that further processes and stored in the central database. C72 mobile computers transmit the data in real-time via a wireless network to the server. The entire inventory process is accurate and fast.
 
Effects
  1. The manual data collection method was error-prone that now converts into an automatic data capturing solution. This system significantly reduces the error rate.
  2. A new solution also provides complete traceability of items that helps in reducing the incidence of theft in the warehouse. If anyone tries to take the goods out of warehouse premises without permission, an automatic alarm can alert the security officers. 
  3. RFID solution is more superior to a barcode solution because it can read bulk data with a single click. C72 mobile computer is a UHF RFID device which can read a bulk data of inventory. It has not only reduced the inventory-taking time but also save money on labor costs as well.
  4. The RFID solution has made the entire supply chain system fast. Thus, the company achieves customer satisfaction and brand image.
