Thus M.video was looking for a new technology that could be implemented easily on a wide variety of items like television, audio-visual, computers, camera, video equipment, mobile phone, and other entertainment products.

Challenges
1. Manual inventory management takes a long time for managing inventory. Besides this, retail stores have a wide range of products.
2. End customers experienced poor service quality due to the slow process of order delivery at the store level. Operators faced challenges in locating the exact location of a particular product due to the lack of a real-time inventory system.
3. Sales and inventory data sharing of each store were slow, due to which the headquarter could not take corrective measures to manage inventory timely.
4. The whole order delivery process was not real-time and it could not be tracked from receiving till the delivery of the order to the customer.

Solution
M.video deployed Chainway’s C72 UHF handheld terminal in its chain stores for delivery and warehousing management. The solution was based on RFID technology, so all the items were attached with RFID tags that contain information about a particular item. The whole inventory items could be read and updated in bulk. It significantly improved the warehouse efficiency and delivery cycle of goods to the customers and retail chains.

Effects
1. New solution enhances the customer satisfaction level by offering an intelligent shopping guide. Now store staff can respond to customer queries faster than before.
2. With bulk tags reading and updating the capability of the C72 device, the inventory management work can be done in a few minutes which took a few hours earlier.
3. Real-time data can be uploaded to the management system through the network, which helps the headquarters timely know sales data to optimize marketing strategies promptly.
4. The inventory and sale data are updated in real-time with a cloud server. It helps top management to take decisions related to stock and product promotion.
5. It helps to strengthen the unified management of each store, improve the overall service quality and brand image to attract more consumers.
