Sample Management for Yunnan China Tobacco Laboratory

Background
With the development of Yunnan China Tobacco Factory, the compliance for product quality control become stricter. All the sample materials in the laboratory are different and from an unspecific source. The Traceability of each sample data is touch and unreliable in controlling and managing the experimental data. Therefore, Yunnan China Tobacco decided to introduce two-dimensional barcode technology to managing and recording laboratory samples. So, the management can ensure the scientificity and authoritativeness of sample testing.
 

Challenges
1. With the different types of tobacco, the sample materials used for laboratory testing are large in quantity. Traditional sample management methods are unreliable to ensure the accuracy of the testing data.
2. After completing the experiment, company management usually get the unspecific sample source information and inaccurate experimental results. It causes difficulty in effective traceability.
3. There is no efficient channel for sample inquiry and sample inventory.
 

Solution
With the development of comprehensive barcode technology applications by the laboratory. The management deploys Chainway C71 handheld mobile computers to resolve the issues of sample management. A QR code is pasted on each sample as an identification mark by the laboratory management. The C71 handheld computers and the management APP are integrated to realize the code scanning and information recording. Meantime, the sample source, experiment records, and inventory status can be transmitted to the background management system in real-time with the help of these devices. Thus, the administrator can use this background system data for real-time supervision. Information of the entire process for all samples is saved and track automatically by the system.
