Equipment Rental Management for Party Rent in Germany

Background
Party Rent Group is Europe's leading rental company in event equipment. Intending to fulfill customers' increasing demands and the changing market trends, Party Rent has continuously invested in expanding the scope of product rental and decided to introduce RFID information technology to strengthen the tracking management of rented equipment. It enhances the comprehensive strength and competitiveness of the enterprise.

Challenges
1. The rental company provides various types of equipment for rent. The original manual operation method is not only less effective but also results in a high error rate. It is difficult to avoid the losses of rented equipment.
2. Managers cannot perform reasonably scheduled resources and tracking management based on a manual recording of the rented items.
3. The quantity and status of rented items cannot be checked in real-time by the management. Thus, the customer cannot get a quick response, which leads to low customer satisfaction.
4. It is difficult to trace and identify the leased items. And it causes economic loss to the company if any item replacements.

Solution
With the implementation of the P80 industrial tablet and C72 RFID reader in tracking application, Chainway helps Party Rent establish an intelligent rental system to realize the smart tracking management of rented items. Company management equipped each item with an identifiable barcode and UHF tag. The information of all rented items is recorded on the information management system by the operator. Workers can use P80 or C72 to scan the electronic tags and accurately complete the corresponding registration and identification during the rental process like receiving, returning, and cycle-counting. All the information is uploaded to the backend system, which significantly improves the operational efficiency and standardizes the operation process. Meanwhile, the management personnel can check the rental status of all items for further analysis with ease.

Effects
1. The deployment of the smart device enables accurate and efficient identification.
2. It realizes the traceability of the rented equipment and performs efficient management.
3. Management can check the real-time status of rented equipment in various regions. Thus, the process facilitates the allocation and scheduling of resources and ensures the proper stock level of equipment.
4. Workers can quickly check inventory information through the intelligent rental system to give quick responses to customers, which reduces customer waiting time and improves the customer experience.
