Temperature Measurement for Hikvision with Chainway P80

Background
Hikvision is the world's leading video-focused IoT solution provider, offering leading surveillance products and solutions worldwide. During the outbreak of COVID 19, temperature tracking was strictly implemented at countless quarantine points within the country as one of the essential prevention measures. Hikvision adopted a visual temperature measuring solution based on the application of the P80 industrial tablet for high-speed implementation, replaced the traditional device.
 
Challenges
1. With increased passenger flows, using a traditional forehead thermometer is too slow, resulting in large crowds gathered in public.
2. Traditional forehead thermometer should be measured at close range, which may raise risks of cross-infection.
3. The previous temperature measuring device features poor flexibility because it is bulky, not easy to move and carry.  
 
Solution
Hikvision released a visual temperature measuring solution based on the application of the P80 industrial tablet. This device is a thermal imaging human body thermometer. When the system is working, there is no need for people to stay in crowds. When a person enters the detection range of the device, the human body temperature is measured and a thermal image display on the industrial tablet. Besides, it can take the temperature of multiple persons at the same time. In case of any abnormality, it buzzes an alarm. Built with a large screen, high protection level, and complete functions, P80 is portable and easy to carry. It offers a high level of flexibility for the users.
 
Effects
1. P80 features better mobility. Thus, inspectors can check temperature anytime and anywhere.
2. There is no need for pedestrians to stop, and multiple people can be detected at a time, which significantly improves the detection speed and eases the congestion of pedestrian flow.
3. The test result is displayed on P80 in the form of a thermal image, and a reminder appears in real-time, which is easily visible.
4. In comparison with traditional temperature measuring equipment, the visual thermometer is not only improved detection efficiency but also reduces the risk of cross-infection.
