NFC Solution for Raw Material Weighing Measurement

Background

China Resources Cement is a Hong Kong-listed company under the Central Enterprise China Resources Group. The Company has become the most competitive supplier of cement & ready-mixed concrete in Southern China and gained an important position in the cement industry in China. To further strengthen the management of raw material weighing measurement, China Resources Cement decided to introduce NFC technology and establish a weighing management system based on the application of handheld terminals.

Challenges

1. The weighing measurement of raw materials is performed manually in various links such as receiving, transportation, and storage, resulting in low efficiency.
2. Manual operation causes data errors and brings difficulties to the production management of the enterprise.
3. It takes a long time for raw materials to enter and leave the factory, which leads to traffic congestion at the factory door.
4. Manual registration of vehicle and personnel information is prone to errors, which leads to inconsistencies between actual data and collected information.
5. Inefficient weighing measurement makes drivers wait for a long time and brings low supplier and customer satisfaction.

Solution

Chainway tailored an intelligent solution based on the C70 smart handheld computer for intelligent weighing measurement management. Each vehicle is attached with a unique identified NFC card that can record the basic information of the vehicle. And workers can scan the NFC card with a C70 handheld device to quickly and accurately obtain vehicle information. Workers can also read the NFC card to write the corresponding information during in and out of vehicles, weighing, and unloading. All the data can be uploaded directly to the database system through the Internet that enables the visibility of the whole operation and high accuracy.

1. Workers can use an NFC-based handheld computer to identify the vehicle and collect information for in and out of the efficient vehicle.
2. The deployment of a handheld computer intelligently records the work information of each process and standardizes the operational process.
3. It automatically collects data to ensure data accuracy and effectively avoid fraud.
4. Management can upload the collected data to the background system that significantly improves management efficiency and avoids economic losses.
