Tracking Inventory in Multiple Stores
Instead of having to manually record stock-out products, store associates can set up automatic reorder points in the inventory management system. In daily regular inventory tracking, Chainway handheld computers transmit inventory data to the inventory management system, which will detect products which are at low inventory level and generate a purchase list. It will avoid stock-outs and save time and labor cost.
 
When a customer asks for an item in a particular size/color, store associates can check the availability not only in their own store’s stock room, but also in other stores’ inventory. And if it is unavailable in the current store, customers are encouraged to go to the nearest store where stocks the product they want. Balancing Inventory in Multiple Locations
A retailer may have multiple stores in the same or multiple locations, the ability to monitor inventory levels in each of these stores is necessary to optimize the use of resources.
