Weighing Project for a Cement Company

Background
 
With the continuous expansion of the scale of industrial mining enterprises, the number of personnel, vehicles, raw materials and products is increasing, which brings great challenges to personnel and vehicle management, as well as metering, unloading and factory management. More and more industrial mining enterprises have adopted intelligent terminals based on RFID technology to enhance the intelligence of weighing, so as to streamline processes, accelerate business operation efficiency, and improve supplier and customer satisfaction.
 
Challenges
 
  • There are many problems in the links of the raw materials entering the factory, product weighing management, causing certain losses to the enterprise.
  • The manual recording measures in each link are not only time-consuming and inefficient, but also have the possibility of counterfeiting.
  • It takes a long time for personnel, vehicles, raw materials and products to go into the factory, which is likely to cause congestion at the factory gate.
  • Manual registration for vehicle and personnel is prone to data confusion, resulting in inconsistency between weighing data and vehicle.
 
Solution
 
Chainway has successfully deployed C70 smart handheld terminal in combination with the use of RFID technology to successfully solve the above problems. The project uses RFID cards to configure a unique identification number for each vehicle, and records the basic information of the vehicle.
By scanning the RFID card identification, the vehicle information can be quickly and accurately obtained. Staff simply scans the RFID card through the C70 handheld terminal to record all links of access, weighing, unloading, storage, etc. Meanwhile, captured data is uploaded directly to the database system through the network, which eliminates the complicated middle links.
 
Effects
 
  • Staff can identify and collect information on the incoming and outgoing vehicles by scanning RFID label with the handheld terminal, which offers high operational efficiency.
  • It accurately collects and records the key work information of each process to standardize the operational process.
  • Operators collect data information with the handheld terminal to ensure data accuracy and effectively prevent the occurrence of fraud.
  • The collected data can be wirelessly uploaded to the back-end system for the summary, which improves operational efficiency, reduces errors and omissions, and avoids economic losses.
