ASSET MANAGEMENT|ASIA|

Asset Management with C72 RFID Reader

Background

The company operates in the electronic computer manufacturing industry. In order to improve the management of assets, it is necessary to use intelligent handheld terminal combined with RFID technology to manage the company's assets.

Challenges

  • Its assets are rich in variety and widely distributed, leading to high labor costs of asset management and maintenance work
  • Due to the lack of an effective track record for asset purchase, inventory, maintenance, depreciation, etc., managers cannot make plan for asset management in a timely and reasonable manner, which affects the smooth development of the company.
  • Without effective statistics on asset maintenance, there is no assessment standard for personnel management.
  • Equipment failures are often unable to be maintained in time. It is difficult to retrieve or chase after the equipment is stolen or lost, causing certain losses to the company.
  • There are many flaws in manual management, leading to inconsistencies in the accounts and materials, which increases unnecessary workload.

Solution

Each asset is equipped with an electronic tag, including important information like asset name, category, purpose, duration of use and maintenance record. The staff can easily realize asset tracking by simply using the C72 handheld to scan the asset tag. And the data is transmitted to the back-end system of the enterprise in real time via wi-fi, which provides data support for analysis.

Effects

  • The asset equipment is automatically and easily tracked from the procurement to the end of life.
  • It archives asset identification automation from the procurement, input of the warehouse, inventory to scrapping, largely reducing the workload of asset management.
  • The automatic identification of assets ensures the accuracy of asset inventory and realizes the real unification of accounts and materials.
  • With the application of C72 and RFID tags, the tracking of equipment and personnel is realized, which can ensure that some high-value equipment can meet the demand in time.
  •  It offers the full visibility of asset equipment so that managers can grasp information about the assets in time and allocate resources reasonably.
