Printing and Verification Management for the Hungary-Serbia Railway

Case Background:

On March 19th, the section of the Hungary-Serbia Railway from the capital city of Serbia, Belgrade, to the central-northern city of Novi Sad (the Bano section) opened for operation. This also marked the official deployment of Chainway C75 smart handheld terminals to provide equipment support for the efficient and intelligent operation of the Hungary-Serbia Railway Bano section.

Challenges:

  1. Traditional manual ticket sales and purchase methods are labor-intensive and inefficient for staff.
  2. During the ticket sales and verification process, personnel congestion is easy to occur, especially during peak travel periods. Passengers often have to queue for a long time at fixed locations to purchase or collect tickets.
  3. Traditional verification methods using visual inspection by staff are not only inefficient but also difficult to distinguish between genuine and fake tickets, providing an opportunity for fraud.
  4. Ticket data is difficult to save and query, which is not conducive to data utilization and post-analysis management.

Solution:

Chainway C75 smart handheld terminals serve as the printing and verification terminals for train tickets, mainly deployed in mobile ticket sales points, station entrance inspections, train inspections, and other application scenarios. Staff can use C75 to verify passenger identities, print tickets, and inspect tickets, greatly improving the efficiency of ticket inspections and enhancing passengers' travel experience.

Effects:

  1. At mobile ticket sales points, staff can use the printing function of C75 to directly print tickets for customers without customers having to go to designated locations to collect tickets. This greatly optimizes the ticket purchasing process and significantly improves the ticket purchasing experience.
  2. Because C75 is portable and easy to deploy, even during peak passenger flows, congestion can be quickly relieved by increasing deployment in a simple way.
  3. Staff can use the barcode function of C75 to quickly verify tickets by scanning the one-dimensional/two-dimensional codes on the tickets. This greatly improves the efficiency of ticket inspections and enhances passengers' travel experience.
  4. C75 can effectively identify counterfeit and incorrect tickets, ensuring the consistency of passengers, tickets, and train schedules, and ensuring the quality of ticket inspections and train inspections.
