Inventory Management of Freighter Parts in Singapore

Background
 
With the continuous development of a dock company, the production line further expands, and the number of product orders largely increases. As a result, there is an urgent need to increase the turnover rate of products in warehouses and utilization rate of warehouse. The dock company urgently needs to introduce intelligent warehouse management system to optimize the operational process, and improve the efficiency of warehouse operations.
 
Challenges
 
1. The original warehouse management mainly relies on manual operation. All the data of parts need to be manually entered by the warehouse workers, seriously reducing the working efficiency.
2. The information of parts during the input and output of the warehouse cannot be updated in time. And it is difficult to know the location status and the stock levels of the warehouse, which brings convenience to further management.
3. The workers cannot get accurate guidance when picking up or placing parts, which easily leads to misplaced or wrong parts.
4. The sorting and cycle-counting of parts and components is performed manually, resulting in low operation efficiency and high error rate.
5. The inefficient warehouse management mode increases the labor costs and restricts the further development of the enterprise.
 
Solution
 
Chainway equipped the dock company with a intelligent warehouse information solution based on P80 RFID tablet. Electronic tags are installed on parts to achieve electronic identification. Combined with RFID function and the corresponding APP for warehouse management, P80 can be used to collect tag information and track records of tags. And the information is transmitted to the database through the network in real time to realize the visibility of each operation link of the warehouse.
