Production Line Management with P80 industrial tablet

Background
 
The user is a manufacturing company. The  company mainly develops and manufactures refrigerating equipment for marine containers and their spare parts, with multiple manufacturing departments and numerous production lines. In order to further strengthen the intelligent management of production lines, Daikin Refrigeration decided to invest in industrial tablet for production management of assembly lines.
 
Challenges
 
1. With the diverse types of products, the assembly process is complicated. Traditional manual supervision methods are prone to omissions and cannot effectively guarantee the production quality of each process.
2. An error occurs in a certain link that is not detected in time, then it is likely to cause waste in production and affect the production process, thereby causing losses to the company.
3. The manager cannot obtain the assembly status of the production line in real time, and cannot control the production in real time, which will have negative impact on production management.
4. Production and assembly information of product cannot be traced to the source, which affects product quality tracking and after-sales service.
 
Solution
 
The manufacturing company used Chainway P80 multi-functional industrial tablet to track and monitor product assembly progress in real time. A barcode can be affixed to each product and part, including the model number and serial number of the part, and other information. And worker collects the information by scanning the barcode with P80 industrial tablet that is uploaded to the database system. The data of every link, quality testing, and all assembly information of the production line is recorded at any time. And the manager can monitor all the data in real time through the back-end system to grasp the equipment operation and production status.

1. It eliminates manual data entry and effectively ensures the accuracy of the assembly process.
2. Each product and main component of the production line has a unique barcode. There will be records in each production link of the production line. If an error occurs, it is easy to track in time.
3. The manager can monitor the production status of the product assembly in real time, which provides an accurate basis for making relevant production decisions.
4. It establishes a high level of automation quality monitoring system in each link of the production line.
6. Workers can scan barcodes with P80 to track any records in database for information checking and after-sales service.
