Chainway C66 Supports Jewelry Exhibition Management in Vietnam

Background

Jewelry exhibitions require more than product display. Valuable jewelry pieces are frequently moved, checked, and presented across different counters, while attendee entry also needs to be verified quickly and accurately during peak visiting hours.
At a jewelry exhibition in Vietnam, the organizers needed a mobile RFID solution to manage two key on-site operations: tracking RFID-tagged jewelry items across the exhibition area and scanning RFID bracelets for attendee entry verification.
With jewelry items displayed in glass counters, metal trays, and dense layouts, maintaining stable RFID reads can be more challenging than simply scanning quickly. The on-site team needed a reliable UHF RFID reader that could support short-distance RFID applications, flexible data capture, and long

Challenge
  1. Complex Jewelry Display Environments: Jewelry items were placed across glass counters, metal trays, and compact display areas. These conditions could affect RFID read stability and make consistent item-level identification more difficult.
  2. Item-Level Visibility Requirements: For high-value jewelry pieces, the organizers needed a more efficient way to verify RFID-tagged items and reduce the workload of repeated manual checking.
  3. Two On-Site RFID Workflows: The exhibition required one mobile RFID device to handle both jewelry item management across the display area and RFID bracelet scanning at the entrance.
  4. Long Exhibition Hours: Devices used on-site needed to support frequent movement, continuous operation, and daily handling during multi-day event operations.

Solution

To support jewelry item management and attendee entry verification at the exhibition, the organizers deployed Chainway C66 Built-in UHF RFID Readers.
  1. Stable UHF RFID Performance: Built with Chainway’s self-developed UHF module based on Impinj E Series chips and Impinj Gen2X support, the C66 helped deliver stable item-level identification in complex jewelry display environments.
  2. Dual-Application Support: The C66 supported both RFID-tagged jewelry item checks across exhibition counters and RFID bracelet scanning at the entrance, helping organizers manage valuable items and attendee entry with one mobile device.
  3. Built-in Design with Reliable UHF Performance: With a phone-sized design and up to 2.7m max read range, depending on tag type and environment, the C66 delivered reliable short-distance RFID performance across exhibition counters and display areas.
  4. Flexible Data Capture: With optional 2D barcode scanning, NFC, and more, the C66 provided flexible data capture for different on-site needs.
  5. Reliable for Long Event Hours: With a 5200mAh removable battery, fast charging, IP65 sealing, and 1.8m drop protection, the C66 was designed to support long exhibition hours and frequent on-site handling.

Results

The deployment of the Chainway C66 Built-in UHF RFID Reader helped improve the efficiency and traceability of jewelry exhibition management in Vietnam.
At the entrance, RFID bracelet scanning supported faster attendee verification and helped reduce manual check-in steps during visitor traffic peaks. Across the exhibition area, staff used the C66 to check RFID-tagged jewelry items more efficiently, improving item visibility and reducing reliance on repeated manual verification.
By supporting both RFID jewelry management and attendee entry verification with one lightweight mobile RFID device, the Chainway C66 helped organizers create a smoother, more traceable on-site operation for the jewelry exhibition.
