Introducing Chainway C71 Handheld Computer

Biometric Authentication
C70 and C71 have a similar appearance, but if you want a device with biometric authentication functions in access control, choose C71. You can experience both fingerprint and iris recognition. C71 collects, captures and verifies biometric identifiers in identification and access control applications such as population census, national election and defense.
 
C71 features a high-end iris scanner with a remarkably low false acceptance rate (FAR) of 1 in 10 million. It meets the requirements of high-level safety against identity fraud.
 
C71 can deploy a capacitive / optical fingerprint sensor to be FIP 201 / STQC compliant with multiple template formats available. It captures high-quality fingerprint images, even when the finger is wet or when there is strong light.

 
General Configuration
Now let’s look at C71’s general configuration. This handheld computer is equipped with new Android 6.0 OS to bring users a fluent experience and excellent third-party app compatibility. Ultra-fast Cortex-A53 quad-core processor efficiently improves C71’s data processing speed. Sizeable amount of memory is ideal for multitasking. A card slot for SD cards of memories up to 32GB allows you to save your data and media collection without a worry.

 
Born Rugged
C71 is protected by its durable shell, which is water/dust/drop proof. Rated IP67, it withstands exposure to dust and splashing liquids, and is waterproof to depths of up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. It is also 1.8M drop proof onto the concrete ground under normal operating temperatures and keeps reliable operations after 1,000 1.6ft./0.5m consecutive tumbles. Under extreme temperatures (-10°C to 50°C), its components still perform stable. If users need to use a handheld computer under harsh environments, look no further.



 Display
A beautiful high-end display shows everything clear, even small details. C71 handheld computer satisfies that demand by delivering high-quality color reproduction and wider viewing angles on its 1080P 5.2-inch display. The screen brightness is adjustable to offer the best visual results under any surrounding light conditions. Corning Gorilla Glass protects the screen. It is scratch resistant, and seamless glove and wet touchscreen operations help workers stay connected, regardless of their work settings and environmental conditions.

 
Design
C71 stands out for its fluent lines and solid body. It is portable, comfortable and durable, and it is molded by 2K injection technology. The curved shell and anti-skid edges allow you to hold C71 comfortably whenever you want it. Side button is within reach in single-hand operations. Data entry is easy regardless of hand size and application situation. 2K injection technology makes C71’s plastic shell resistant. The device’s durability is also proved by its scan sensor which deploys rugged panel and Corning Gorilla Glass and its camera which applies anti-finger coating.

 
Wireless Connectivity
In work, users may need to browse the web, download files, and transmit collected data to backend server. Stay connected with speed and ease is important. C71 owns varied options of wireless connectivity: ultra-fast 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4G+5G) and low-consumption Bluetooth. It offers you high-speed and stable wireless connectivity wherever work takes you.


 Battery
When time is precious and work is intense, long-last performance means a better companion. A powerful battery lets you do more. The 5000mAh high-capacity battery, which supports fast charging, gives you more time to stay connected, capture data and fulfill a whole day’s work easily. Chainway designed high-performance charging docks for our customers. It can charge devices, transmit data to PC, and connect to a network cable via a RJ45 connector.

 
Advanced Data Capture Options
Different industries have different types of data to capture, from barcode, positioning information, infrared meter reading to PSAM card reading. Chainway C71 handheld computer features all these advanced data capture functions in all industries.

C71 can be configured with high-performance barcode engines including that of Zebra. It decodes 1D/2D barcodes of all qualities, even those damaged or poor printed ones. Its wide scan range and long scan distance enables it to work in various scan-intense applications.
 
C71 boasts a 13MP autofocus flash-enabled color camera. You can easily capture photos, videos, documents in various modes, even under low light and back-lit conditions.
 
C71 supports NFC. Its distinctive features - high-level security, fast and stable connectivity, and low power consumption – are ideal for user authentication and e-payment.
 
C71’s highly precise Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receiver uses GPS, GLONASS or BeiDou module to improve application accuracy. It also supports A-GPS to enhance quality and precision in positioning.
 
C71 can be configured with IR meter reading module to collect automatically consumption, diagnostic and status data from water meter or energy metering devices (gas, electric), even from a long distance.
 
Two PSAM card slots are optional, which support ISO7816 protocol. It is a secure access module to enhance the security and cryptography performance. Application areas include bus, metro, on-street parking, etc.
