Background
 
With the rapid growth of the Indian market, Motorcycle Manufacturing has also expanded. With four large warehouses in different locations and a daily throughput of 6,600 for two-wheelers, the company needs to use more efficient data acquisition equipment for inventory management.
  
Challenges
 
1. The company has been using barcode solutions for the inventory of two-wheeled vehicles in the past few years, but it is not able to meet the demands in terms of speed and accuracy. And the existing data acquisition is slow and outdated.
2. Due to the inefficiency of the warehouse operation, along with the high-value configuration of the system and equipment, and low return on investment, the warehouse operation costs too much, affecting the company's long-term development.
 
Solution
 
The motorcycle company selected the Chainway C4050 handheld terminal to improve the management of warehouse two-wheeler parts. Chainway C4050 handheld terminal is perfectly integrated with the existing inventory management software to achieve efficient warehouse operation. Since the parts come from different suppliers, each piece of spare parts is marked with a unique barcode. The inventory operator with Chainway C4050 scans the parts barcode and updates the data to the back-end database system in real time during the input of the warehouse for all parts, which can complete the warehousing operation accurately and quickly. Whenever the two-wheeled parts are taken out of stock, the handheld terminal works again. It can efficiently complete the outbound operation and promote the efficient operation of the entire assembly line.
