E-commerce Warehouse Management in Vietnam

Background
 
For e-commerce companies, accurate and efficient inventory management is a key helper on ensuring a sufficient supply of goods and quick response to customers. With the continuous development of information technology, an e-commerce company in Vietnam decided to introduce Chainway C6000 and C72 handheld computer based on barcode technology to intelligently manage warehouses, so as to improve the efficiency of warehouse operation, enhance brand image and attract more user groups.
 
Challenges
 
1. Manual cycle-counting requires office clericals to enter all warehouse activity documents, which is labor-intensive and time-consuming.
2. It comes with illegible or misinterpreted handwriting and data entry errors.
3. There is no real-time data that allows managers to be more proactive, resulting in shortage and overstock of goods.
4. Each goods in inventory cannot be tracked its movement through various processes and locations.
 
Solution
 
Chainway equipped the Vietnamese e-commerce company with barcode scanning technology for warehouse management. Each product is affixed with a unique two-dimensional barcode as an identification mark. During the process of input and output of the warehouse, cycle-counting, sorting, the staff can scan barcode on the goods through C6000 / C72 handheld terminal to perform fast and accurate information collection and comparison, which greatly improves the efficiency and accuracy of warehouse processes.
